Welcome!

I’m Adriana a doctoral researcher interested in how international migration transforms political behavior and institutions.

I am Adriana Cassis, holding an M.A. in Development and Governance from the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany) and a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Universidad Casa Grande (Ecuador).

I am currently a doctoral researcher at the IMPRS-SPCE program, a program between the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies, the University of Duisburg-Essen, and the University of Cologne.

My primary research interest lies in the dynamics between international migration and its transformational effects on political behavior and institutions. In my PhD project, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Achim Goerres, I aim to investigate the transnational political behavior of second-generation immigrants.
